We are looking for an experienced Mine Closure and Rehabilitation Consultant to join our team.

The Consultant will be responsible for the coordination of large-scale mining closure projects from quotation phase up to delivering all the required outputs including mine rehabilitation plans, closure liability calculations and closure risk assessment. He/she will be responsible for the compilation of the required documents and interacting with stakeholders on closure objectives and end land use outcomes. He/she will also be responsible to manage active closure and rehabilitation implementation projects.

Requirements:

• Post graduate degree in an environmental field.
• 5+ years’ experience in the environmental consultancy field, with specific focus on mining closure and rehabilitation (practical experience preferred).
• Registered EAP (preferred).
• Professional registration with SACNASP (preferred).
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of the legislation associated with mine closure.
• Must be able to work independently and in a team.
