The Minister hereby declares the properties listed in this notice as part of the Mountain Zebra-Camdeboo Protected Environment, under section 28(1) of the National Environmental Management: Protected Areas Act 57 of 2003 (NEMPA). The properties are situated in the Cradock, Graaff-Reinet, Middelburg, Aberdeen, Murraysburg, Pearston and Somerset East Divisions in the Eastern Cape.

GN 15 now contains regulations conferring duties and powers to the Management Authority when managing this protected area. Specific provisions related to permissible and non-permissible developments in high and low impact zones in the protected area are included that must be adhered to.

It is important for your operation to ensure that, if you plan to conduct any activities in these areas, you adhere to the regulations related to the management thereof and that you do not conduct any activity that has been prohibited in this area, or an activity without the required permits or authorisations.
