HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCES ACT 15 OF 1973: EXTENSION OF THE IMPLEMENTATION DATE OF GROUP I, CATEGORY A, CATEGORY B AND GROUP II HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCES: DECLARATION
Notice Title: Hazardous Substances Act 15 of 1973 (“HSA”): Extension of the Implementation Date of Group I, Category A, Category B and Group II Hazardous Substances: Declaration

Commencing date: 13 September 2027
The Minister of Health in terms of section 2(1)(a) of the HSA, made the following declarations that were published in GNR 6093 on 4 April 2025 (Click here: Hazardous Substances Act: Group I, Category A, Category B and Group II Hazardous Substances: Declaration):
- that certain substances and mixtures containing such substances to be Group l, Category A Hazardous Substances
- that certain substances, and mixtures containing such substances, products or materials to be Group I, Category B hazardous substances
- that certain substances and mixtures containing such substances to be Group lI Hazardous Substances
The Minister extended the implementation of the above declarations with a further period of 18 months (i.e. 13 September 2027).
