In terms of section 54 of the Spatial Planning and Land Use Management Act 16 of 2013 (SPLUMA) the Minister of Rural Development and Land Reform may make regulations pertaining to any matter in terms of SPLUMA. These Regulations have been published that regulates the following aspects:
• Establishment and functions of Municipal Planning Tribunals
• Categories and submission of land development and Land Use applications
• Intervener status of an interested party
