The Minister of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment, in terms of section 24J of the NEMA published the National Guideline for the consideration of climate change implications in applications for environmental authorisations, atmospheric emission licenses and waste management licenses, for public comment.
The Notice contains a revised version of the documents contained in GNR 559 that was published on 25 June 2021, and reflects the incorporation of amendments made, based on the first call for public comment.
Members of the public are invited to submit comments on or before 24 November 2025.
