Commencing date: Comments to be submitted on or before 10 July 2026

 

The Minister of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment, under section 19(2), read with sections 72 and 73 of the NEMWA, published a draft list of waste management activities that have, or are likely to have, a detrimental effect on the environment, for public comment.

 

Once it commences, the draft list will repeal and replace the list of waste management activities that have, or are likely to have, a detrimental effect on the environment, published under GNR 921 of 29 November 2013, inclusive of all the amendments thereof.
