OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY ACT 85 OF 1993: AMENDMENT TO GENERAL SAFETY REGULATIONS AND ENVIRONMENTAL REGULATIONS FOR WORKPLACES

The Minister of Employment and Labour made amendments to the following regulations published under the OHSA:
- Environmental Regulations for Workplaces, GNR 307 of 7 March 2003: Amendments relate to:
- the deletion of regulation 6 (housekeeping), regulation 8 (precautions against flooding) and regulation 9 (fire precautions and means of egress).
- Alignment of regulation 10 (offences and penalties) with the amendments.
- General Safety Regulations, GNR 1031 of 30 May 1986: Amendments relate to:
- minor changes to regulation 2 (personal safety equipment and facilities) and regulation 3 (first aid, emergency equipment and procedures).
- Inclusion of regulations 13A and 13B in regulation 14 (offences and penalties).
