RAILWAY SAFETY ACT, 30 OF 2024: DRAFT PENALTY FEE REGULATIONS 2026
Notice Title: Railway Safety Act, 30 of 2024 (“RSA”): Draft Penalty Fee Regulations 2026

Commencing date: Comments to be submitted on or before 31 August 2026
The Minister of Transport in terms of section 67(1) of the RSA published the draft Penalty Fee Regulations for public comment.
The purpose of the draft Regulations is to-
- promote, improve and achieve sustained compliance with the RSA so that incidents where penalties are imposed will be reduced over a period of time; and
- promote safe railway operations
