2019 MINE HEALTH AND SAFETY STATISTICS PUBLISHED
The Department of Mineral Resources (the “DMR”) released the Mine Health and Safety Statistics (“safety statistics”) for 2019 on 24 January 2019. In summary the safety statistics show that: 51 fatalities were reported - a decrease of 37% from 2018; 2406 injuries were reported – 41
