The Minister of Environment, Forestry and Fisheries, published the Draft Revised and Updated National Waste Management Strategy (“Draft National Waste Management Strategy”) on 3 December 2019.
The Draft National Waste Management Strategy is a revision and update of the 2011 National Waste Management Strategy. The Draft National Waste Management Strategy takes into account progress, challenges and lessons learned from the implementation of the 2011 National Waste Management Strategy. It also considers new social, environmental and economic developments and pressures affecting the waste sector.
Members of the public are invited to submit written comments within 60 days from the date of the publication of the notice in the Gazette (3 February 2020). For a copy of the notice click here.
