The Minister of Transport in terms of National Assembly Rule No. 241(1) (b) intends introducing the Marine Oil Pollution (Preparedness, Response and Cooperation) Bill (“the Bill”) in Parliament during 2022.
The Bill and its Explanatory Memorandum were published for comments in the GG 42815, Notice Number of 594 of 2019.
The object of the Bill is to give effect to the International Convention on Oil Pollution Preparedness, Response and Cooperation, 1990; and to provide for matters connected therewith.
