The Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy (“the Minister”) published amendments to regulation 2(1) of the Regulations for Petroleum Exploration and Production published under GNR 527 of 23 April 2004, as amended (“the Regulations”) for implementation.
The amendments relate to the manner of lodging applications and plans.
Please note that GN 2179 published on 22 June 2022 is hereby repealed.

How to ensure compliance at my operations?
Persons lodging an application for a permission, right of permit in terms of the MPRDA must take note of the changes relating to the lodging of such applications and plans.
