The Minister of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment (“the Minister”), intents to make Regulations pertaining to the financial provisioning for the mitigation and rehabilitation of environmental damage caused by reconnaissance, prospecting, exploration, mining or production operations (the proposed Regulations).
The proposed Regulations will repeal the Financial Regulations, 2015 published under GNR 1147 of 20 November 2015.
Interested and affected parties are invited to submit written comments on or before 6 October 2021.
