Commencing date: Comments to be submitted by 22 May 2023

The Minister of Forestry, Fisheries, and the Environment (“the Minister”), under section 23 read with sections 24, 56 and 57 of the NEMAQA, published proposed amendments to the Notice declaring temporary asphalt plants as controlled emitters, GNR 201 of 28 March 2014, for public comments.

The proposed amendments related to the following:

  • Inclusion and deletion of certain definitions;
  • Responsibilities of the air quality officer; and
  • Reporting under the National Atmospheric Emission Inventory System.
