The Minister of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment (“the Minister”), published the Second Generation Air Quality Management Plan (“AQMP”) for the Vaal Triangle Airshed Priority Area (“VTAPA”): Final Plan in terms of section 19(1) and (5) of the NEMAQA for implementation.
The second generation AQMP aims to establish new strategies and intervention plans, based on a better understanding of the cause-and-effect relationships, that will ensure further improvement and eventual compliance within the area.
How to ensure compliance at my operations?
Employers falling within the VTAPA must take note of the new strategies and implementation plans set out in the second generation AQMP to ensure that the necessary actions are taken to ensure compliance.
