The Minister of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment (“the Minister”) would like to inform the public of the submission of a notice for the inclusion or listing of seventeen succulent plant species and one succulent plant genus in Appendix III of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (“CITES”) to the Secretariat of CITES.
The list of seventeen succulent plant species and one succulent plant genus to be listed on Appendix III of CITES, including all parts and derivatives thereof:
(i) Adenia spinosa
(ii) Ceraria pygmaea (Portulacaria pygmaea)
(iii) Conophytum (entire genus)
(iv) Mestoklema tuberosum
(v) Monsonia herrei (sarcocaulon herrei)
(vi) Monsonia multifida (sarcocaulon multifidum)
(vii) Monsonia patersonii (Sarcocaulon patersonii)
(viii) Othonna armaina
(ix) Othonna cacatioides
(x) Othonna clavifolia (Crassothonna clavifolia)
(xi) Othonna euphorbiodes
(xii) Othonna retrorsa
(xiii) Pelargonium crassicaule
(xiv) Pelargonium triste
(xv) Raphionacme zeyheri
(xvi) Tylecodon nolteei
(xvii) Tylecodon bodleyae
