Notice Title: National Environmental Management: Protected Areas Act 57 of 2003 (“NEMPAA”): Consultation on intention to declare land to be part of the existing Mountain Zebra-Camdeboo protected environment under the Act: For public comments

Government Notice: GN 1454 in GG 45396 on 29 October 2021

Commencing date: Comments to be submitted on or before 28 December 2021.

The Minister of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment (“the Minister”), under section 28(1)(a)(ii), read with sections 31 and 33 of the NEMPAA, intends to declare certain farm properties to be part of an existing Mountain Zebra-Camdeboo Protected Environment.

The farm properties are located in the following divisions in the Eastern Cape:

  • Aberdeen Division
  • Cradock Division
  • Graaff-Reinet Division
  • Jansensville Division
  • Middleburg Division
  • Pearston Division
  • Somerset East Division

The farm properties are located in the following divisions in the Western Cape:

  • Murraysburg Division

The farm properties are located in the following divisions in the Northern Cape:

  • Richmond Division
