The Minister of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment, in terms of section 7(1)(c), of the NEMWA, amended the National Norms and Standards for Disposal of Waste to Landfill, 2013, published under GNR 636 on 23 August 2013.
The amendments relate to the following:
- Definitions,
- Landfill classification and containment barrier design,
- Waste acceptance criteria for disposal to landfill; and
- Waste disposal restrictions.
