HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCES ACT 15 OF 1973: REGULATIONS RELATING TO LEAD IN PAINT OR COATING MATERIALS

Commencing date: Comments to be submitted on or before 28 January 2022.
The Minister of Health (“the Minister”) intends, in terms of section 29(1) of the HSA, to make Regulations relating to lead in paint or coating materials (“Regulations”).
The proposed Regulations will apply to the manufacture, sale, distribution, import and export of all paints or similar coating materials.
Interested persons are invited to submit written comments and inputs on or before 28 January 2022.
