The Minister of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment published the Norm for the Exclusion of Identified Activities Associated with the Development and Expansion of Transmission and Distribution Substations in Areas of Low or Medium Environmental Sensitivity” for public comments.
The activities which are the subject of this exclusion relate to the development or expansion of substations associated with electricity transmission and distribution and any associated activity identified in Listing Notice 1 or 2 necessary for the realisation of such facilities, including linear infrastructure but excluding distribution and transmission power line infrastructure.
