NATIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT: WASTE ACT 59 OF 2008: CONSULTATION ON THE PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE REGULATIONS REGARDING THE CONTROL OF THE IMPORT OR EXPORT OF WASTE

Commencing date: Comments to be submitted on or before 1 November 2023
The Minister of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment, under section 69(1)(j), read with sections 72 and 73 of the NEMWA, published the proposed amendments to the Regulations regarding the Control of the Import or Export of Waste, 2019 for public comments.
Proposed amendments relate to amongst other the following:

- Requirements when applying for the import of hazardous waste
- Requirements when applying for the import of non-hazardous waste
- Requirements when applying for the export of hazardous waste
